## Summary
The paper addresses a known weakness of LLMs. They answer questions about everyday life unevenly across cultures, and they often favour Western or high-resource perspectives. The authors target SemEval-2026 Task 7, which extends the BLEnD benchmark to more than 30 language-country pairs in two tracks: open-ended short answers (SAQ) and multiple choice (MCQ). Their system uses no training. Several pretrained LLMs debate in three rounds:
1. Each agent answers on its own.
2. Each agent revises its answer after reading the others' outputs.
3. A judge model picks the final response.

For SAQ, the agents are chosen per locale: a general-purpose model, a model built on the target's continent, and a model from the target country or a culturally close region. For MCQ, strong general-purpose models debate instead. The system reached 55.75 on SAQ and 88.32 on MCQ, beating every single-model baseline. The gains were largest for low-resource locales. A preliminary analysis showed that grouping model performance by continent predicts strengths better than grouping by language. This suggests that cultural and historical context should guide which models are combined.

## Key points
- **SAQ setup:** Ten LLMs form the agent pool. gpt-4o-mini is always the general agent, and gemma-3-27b-it is the judge. Regional agents include Qwen2.5 for Chinese, Midm for Korean, and EuroLLM and Mistral for European languages. All runs are inference-only at temperature 0.
- **MCQ setup:** gpt-4o-mini and claude-3.5-haiku debate, and gpt-4o adjudicates. The judge is skipped when both debaters pick the same option.
- **SAQ results:** The overall score of 55.75 is about 2.8 points above gpt-4o-mini (52.97). The largest jumps came in am-ET (29.6 → 50.6) and ha-NG (29.8 → 40.8). Scores dropped in the Middle East (e.g., ar-SA 51.8 → 46.8), which the authors attribute to weak agents adding noise.
- **MCQ results:** Accuracy of 88.32 is +2.65 over gpt-4o-mini (85.67) and +4.02 over claude-3.5-haiku (84.30). Most locales improved, with small losses in some, such as am-ET and bg-BG.
- **Agent selection analysis:** The authors tested single models on 150 BLEnD samples per country, used only for analysis. Continental grouping gave more stable patterns than language grouping. Within multi-country languages such as English and Spanish, no country's models consistently came out ahead. The main stated limitation is that agent selection is static rather than dynamically routed per query.
