## Summary
Korean is poorly covered in cross-lingual multiword expression resources such as PARSEME. Multiword adpositions in particular have no systematic description or annotated data. The authors identify and describe a class they call postpositional verb-based constructions (PVCs). In a PVC, a case postposition combines with a bound stem plus a frozen form of the suffix -hata, and the whole unit works like a single adposition. Examples are -ey kwanhan and -ey tayhan ('about') and -lul wihan ('for').

To find candidates, they processed the main text of Korean Wikipedia with the konlpy Mecab analyzer and matched postposition–stem–hata sequences with a regular expression. They then checked the most frequent stems by hand against fixedness criteria. These criteria are restricted inflection, no modification, and no use as a main predicate.

The study yields 14 PVCs. The authors show how these differ from ordinary verbs and light verb constructions, and they propose how to annotate them under PARSEME guidelines. They describe this as the first analysis of this construction class. It lays groundwork for annotating Korean adpositional MWEs in multilingual frameworks.

## Key points
- **Data and extraction:** The corpus was the May 2024 Korean Wikipedia dump (515k articles). Out of about 3.5k candidate stems, the top 300 were checked manually. This gave 12 PVC-forming stems, and 2 rarer ones were added later, for 14 in total.
- **Limited inflection:** The -hata part of a PVC appears only in two kinds of forms:
  - adnominal: -han
  - connective: -hay, -hayse, -haye
- **Exceptions:** Three stems (sok, hyang, ki) can also act as main predicates. They are counted as PVCs only when they are not used predicatively.
- **Classification:** PVCs show no syntactic irregularity or semantic idiomaticity, so they are classed as weak MWEs. They are not LVCs, because -hata here is a suffix on a bound stem rather than a light verb attached to a noun.
- **Resource:** The extraction pipeline is publicly released on GitHub (aatlantise/korean-multiword-postpositions). Proposed future work includes corpus annotation and comparison with Japanese -suru constructions.
